Two full hours of pure mentation in a room full of talking heads. What is new about that? Are we so naïve that we really believe that bigger intellects and bigger words will solve the problem? The revolution starts on the ground, and by extension on the floor, not in chairs, at desks, and on screens. The elephant in the room was the rest of our own sacred selves. The group had lost its way by the second half of the meeting.
I would be cautious of straw-manning a thesis that I don't think was being put forward e.g. I don't think anyone was suggesting that "bigger intellects and bigger words will solve the problem" [on their own].
Overall, we think a triple helix approach that integrates purpose, presence and practice is key. We also agree that this *embodying* the change we would like to see is central -- and hard. This kind of course is an exploration of that at one particular level. Necessarily, the format is dialog and discussion oriented given that we are online etc.
