This is Part II in a two part series. You can listen to part I here.
In this episode we discuss the importance of wisdom in technological creation and decision-making, highlighting examples of unwise choices and advocating for a more mindful approach.
A second renaissance, metamodern approach to technology is one that integrates wisdom, mindfulness, and collective action. By slowing down, reflecting deeply, and acting collectively, we can shape technology in ways that are aligned with compassion, interconnectedness, and the well-being of all.
Finally, we discuss the limitations of technology in improving human well-being. Whilst technology can obviously support improving our well-being it is perhaps not a central solution, especially once a certain level of material wellbeing is reached.
